Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and responsible individual to join our team as a rideshare driver. As a rideshare driver, the incumbent will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service to our customers by safely transporting them to their destinations. This position offers flexible hours, with a minimum availability of three full days a week and an opportunity to earn competitive pay plus an incentive based on the number of rides completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely and responsibly operate the rideshare vehicle per company policies and traffic laws
  • Always adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing seat belts and complying with speed limits
  • Stay up-to-date on local traffic and road conditions to avoid delays
  • Maintain cleanliness and always keep the vehicle tidy
  • Follow route navigation, as required, by the GPS, or route instructions to reach destinations efficiently
  • Keep an accurate record of mileage, trips, and earnings and report in the logbook located in the dashboard after completing each trip
  • Communicate efficiently with customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring a comfortable ride experience
  • Inform customers that they can rate their rideshare experience on the Skeena Rideshare webpage or by leaving a message for the owner
  • Perform vehicle inspection after every completed trip to ensure no passenger items are found
  • Clean the vehicle thoroughly after every trip to make it refreshing for the next booking

Requirements:

  • At least a high school graduate or more
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Experienced driver (at least four years on full license without any restrictions)
  • Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws
  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as per business needs
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems
  • Professional appearance and behavior
  • Prior experience in transportation and/or customer service is a strong asset

Compensation:

The starting pay for this position is $17.40/hr with a minimum of 3 hours commitment per day.

Rideshare Driver Training Program:

Skeena Rideshare invests in drivers’ training before the commencement of their shifts. This program is designed to equip drivers with the skills, knowledge, and best practices necessary to provide exceptional customer service and safe transportation to passengers.

Training Objectives:

  • Familiarize drivers with company policies and procedures
  • Enhance customer service and communication skills
  • Guide vehicle maintenance and cleanliness procedures
  • Educate drivers on handling unusual situations and/or emergencies
  • Advise on demeanor and personal attire
  • Promote professionalism and ethical conduct
